However, i have found that the drop pod is a kit that is about a million times easier to paint in pieces. Having a drop pod army, i totally understand the whole drop pod painting bit. Once finished with the DP take a thin layer of a mix of skull whit and what ever you used and add a little bit on the edges ![]() Now repeat until you have the desired effect To add a little flavour into the DP i painted golden yellow on the edge on the doorsĪnd dark angels green on the top of that centre bit ![]() I painted the receding parts on the flaps boltgun metalĪlso while you have the metal out you should paint. Once you're done with the outside of the door the paint on the flaps should be dry and ready for a second coatįollow up with giving the outside of the doors a second coat The next step is laying down a simple layer of paint on the flapsīecause i'm an ultramarines nut i choose Ultramarine Blue I like black because it adds low-lights and makes things look more dark and foreboding In the above picture i used a black base coat ![]() Note that i'm not the very best of paintersīut this is just a general out line of what to doĪ good base coat can make it a lot easier to paint later on
